Last night was a great event here at the church. We had a special guest panel of scholars, Dr. Warren Gage and Dr. Sam Lamerson, from Knox Theological Seminary. I’ve been privileged to have both of these men as my professors in seminary. They’ve helped me unlock many treasures in Scripture. Last night was no exception. Here’s an MP3 of the night.

Serving and Spilling Gas

This morning, on the way to drop my boys off at school, I had to stop and get gas. My two oldest boys love to “help” me when I do certain things around the house. They love to help plant flowers and fertilize the grass. Well, this morning they wanted to help me pump the gas. I stuck the nozzle into the car and clicked the handle so it pumped gas on its own. I let my oldest son, 6 years old, hold it while the gas flowed. My other son, 5 years old, felt he needed to help out more…

Interpretation, Irritation, and Christian Rad

These last few week’s I’ve started work on producing a daily radio show and podcast called “Live Your Design.” Like many things in the ministry you are called upon to do, I had no experience. smile So I began listening to Christian radio to hear how other shows are produced. This is something I don’t usually do. That may sound odd coming from a pastor, but most every time I listen to Christian radio or watch Christian TV I get irritated.
